pleasing with the large screen at Evergrene. Following Greg's talk, there
was a 15 minute slide show of our "Squadron Fleet" produced by Lt Jim
Tedesco. It featured photos of our members

brochure about the Titanic just before the Palm Beach Princess leaves the
dock. 9>We must get in
the usual line to check-in through security. 10>Our
own Tamara Aull (center), Guest Relations for the line, greets Lt/C Dick

wife Phyllis as they board. 11>Here we see an
unknown serious Bingo player with a hand full of cards - she didn't win
either.
12>The stage show was, as usual, very good.
13>The show included a very well done number from the Phantom of the
Opera.
14>While strolling the decks you could see the old Coast Guard
station and the Maritime Museum being renovated for use again, and in the
background the entrance to the Kennedy Bunker.

~~ Saturday the Squadron Raft-Up
off Old Port Cove ~~

On a usual sunny day in south Florida our members board their
boats for a Squadron Raft-Up
in Lake Worth off Old Port Cove. What a nice relaxing day.
~ Below
9 photos formatted not to enlarge ~

We gather at the Ports O' Call docks and board Captain
Bob Malone's pontoon boat for the cruise to the Raft-Up off Old Port Cove.

With our burgee flapping in the breeze on a sunny day we approach and
join the Raft-up.

Nancy Sweeney views the "gathering fleet" as we approach and she notes
John Worssam's "anchor boat", Euphoria, as
Ole Sail course teacher Bud Green hails a greeting.

Big and small they arrive. David Cross secures his Jet Ski after
arriving for the Raft-Up as Anchor Boat Capt John Worssam and
Verena Flanders look on.

Dick Clarke chats over the rail with Michael Stern . . . naturally about
boating stuff or the big one that got away.
Boat hopping during raft-ups found Rowena Randle (adjusting her hair), a
smiling Verena Flanders, Janice Tedesco, Bill Flanders (cap)
Dot Blackburn, and Al Casanova (blue shirt) all engaging in pleasantries

Janice Tedesco (r) and Dot Blackburn (L) display some of their nice cold
fresh fruit pass-a-rounds.
Cdr Les McWhorter, Verena Flanders (center) and Donna McWhorter look over
the bridge photo that will be displayed in our
headquarters building. Looking on (l to r) P/C Barbara Roemmele, Al and
Fran Casanova, Michael Stern and Jim Palmer.
Jim Tedesco enjoys some (many) of Kathy Eldridge's yum, yum home made
pickles.
