FOUNDERS DAY
![]()
Commander Lesly McWhorter,
delivers Founders Day address.
Neither
rain, nor shine, nor dark of night shall keep these hardy squadron warriors from
their
annual Founders Day and Picnic on February 4th. And that's just what we got but
- the weather was warm and the
pavilion was fully covered so, considering the circumstances, we were able to do
all we planned. The pledge of
allegiance and the singing of God Bless America started off the Founders Day
tribute followed by Cdr Lesly
McWhorter's welcome and remarks. There was a remarkably large turnout
considering the weather was not cooperating.
All in all I must admit it was a good day.

and recheck their records determine if members who registered are

projected from the weather with her poncho type rain gear as her husband, Dick
looks on. 12. Lt/C Dick Hofmann checks the records

22>Bob Malone stops by the cooler and
decides to have a Pepsi with his lunch. 23>Mary
Dodd looks like a charming "southern" Eskimo. 24>Could
John Aull be gesturing to his friend how big the one was that ..... got away!!
25>Lt Jim Palmer puts the sun glasses back into his
tote bag and decides he'll not need them for the rest of the day.
26>Lt Art Dodd adjust his "Big Bertha" telephoto
lens prior to a picture
of some-one at the other end of the pavilion. 27>Lt/C
Gary Ferguson stands up on the bench and makes a brief announcement ..... Chow
Down!!! 28>All the members attending now sit down
enjoy their food and engage in in conversations about |their grand children and
eventually get to talk about their aches and pains :-)
All in all, considering the weather would not fully
cooperate, it was a very nice day and a great get-together.
